Welcome to the desktop forum, everyone!
I work part-time in a healthcare clinic (and am in college full-time). We have about 10 IBM ThinkCentre M50 desktops around the office, all running Windows XP Professional with SP2. They are all 2.8 gHz or greater machines with the 512 RAM and 40 gigabyte hard drives, etc., etc. Depending on the location of the unit we have IBM ThinkVision L150p and L170p LCD monitors (which are [censored]'), and some Viewsonic LCDs.
I've also set my parents and several friends up with ThinkCentre A50 units as well.
Most of my desktop experience prior to this has been with Compaqs, but around the time HP bought them out I discovered Big Blue and made the swtich.
Also, anyone else working in healthcare, we are about 90% paperless and running electronic medical record, practice management/scheduling/billing and document management systems. I'm always looking for ways to get that 90% number higher and increase our efficiency, so I'd love to engage in dialog about that as well.
We'll do our best to answer any questions we can.
