how to change fan rotation speed?

ive gotten my T60 almost how i want it with NHC/ACPI, but i would like it so when its using fan speed 1, instead of the 3000rpm, if i could slow it down just a bit, even to 2700-2800rpm, would make all difference for me.

any ideas how to change the rotation speed? im using the latest 2.xx bios.
