T61 doesnt work with tpfancontrol....

sadly but true, the process is in the taskman, but no icon and nothing...any1 knows about that ?

No offense but do you just want to state your observation that "T61 doesn't work with TPFanControl"

Or you are actually asking for help, on how to get T61 to work with TPFanControl?

If it's the later, I suggest you start reading this:

And then search the forum with those keywords: TPFancontrol Vista (or other keywords that might be related to your case)

The symptom you described looks like you're trying to run TPFanControl under Vista. If that's the case, the suggested search above should show some information. e.g. have to start TPFanControl using administrator privilege.


Mentioning T61 (the model) and the software in question (TPFanContorl ) helps a bit. However it would be much more better if you mention your version of OS.

Of course I seek help, why would i else write it here ? Sorry if it offense you.
OS is winxp, thats the weird thing. and i always search before i write something....


so any experiences with that ?

@namezero: I guess you're not in the habit of reading people's "signatures", eh? 'Cause meditate2001's 'sig' clearly states WinXP . . . Sometimes we rely on what's in our 'sig' to get the message across.

@meditate2001: I have no experience with the T6x family. Another approach might be to try running the "fan acpi" in NHC. Have you tried that? [Sorry, just searched and found that you actually have . . . ] So I don't know what else to try.

VERY unfortunatly NHC is not working with T61 / XP anymore together....tpfancontrol also not, looks like something changed...

and namezero, sorry i was wrong, i meant was i wrote in the first post, i wanted to know if someone knows or had the same thing going....i was not expecting help, because i think there is no solution yet...

so any1 with the same things ?

TPFanControl V0.18 works just fine with my T61 (Windows Vista 32bits).

the thing that changed is the santa rosa stuff, as my dell D630 also isnt supported by NHC.

rmclock has limited support but its lowest selectable voltage is way higher than the default voltage for the slowest mult.
