Faulty serial port (T30)

#1 Post by mr. shr » Tue Oct 25, 2011 8:37 am

Hi All,
The serial port on my T30 is faulty. If I push and hold the connector upwards, then it works fine but as soon as I let go it stops working.
So l'm thinking there are some loose connections on the back of the port.

Question is, how do I get to the back of the serial port? I can't figure out what I need to remove in order to gain access.

Anyone had to do this or can tell me how to remove the covers?

Thanks,
shr.

I dont have a T30 exploded at the moment but best I recall the serial port is on a separate board, and can be replaced albeit with some difficulty.
