Which drivers to use for a T22 Thinkpad

I recently got a IBM T22 Thinkpad with a blank hard drive. I got W2kPRO and all the updates and hot fixes. I went to the Lenovo site and entered the info for my laptop to get all the drivers for my laptop. The problem I had was sometimes there were more than 1 driver for a device for my laptop and sometimes the first one I selected did not work. Does anyone have the driver disk(s) that came with the laptop? I think I ended up with more stuff installed on my machine than needed. I plan on doing another clean install and sure would save time and aggravation.

Looks like you are already on the best path to get everything installed. Once you have all the device drivers installed you can delete everything in the drivers directory, or delete the whole directory, if you want, to save space.

Not all T22 contain the same hardware. That is why there are more than one driver for certain categories of hardware. Once you determine which hardware yours has, you can install only the drivers you need. The ones that won't install are likely for hardware different from your configuration and can just be deleted, and then they are gone.

Thanks for your help and advice. This time when I reinstall I won't be so much in a hurry and will do more reading before trying to install a driver.
