T23 to wireless WiFI internet

I bought the modem mini slot version laptop... 2647-8MG
I need WiFi wireless internet... If I buy the WiFi mini card will it work... or do I need the "antenna-version T23" ?
- What is the cheapest Wifi card in ebay ? (ships to europe?)
- Or will a USB WiFi work http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_odkw=wif ... &_from=R40 ?

+ Where can I see full info about all versions of T23: 2647-8MG (What option card, processor, CD or DVD,etc... each have and such...?)
- Someone had changed "Samsung mp0402h" 5400rpm to it and apparently different metal HDD case also. No original HDD metal case why ? (Doesn't this HDD fitted to the original HDD case ?)

You can string the antenna yourself. I have added internal wireless to a T20. I routed the antennas up under the palm rest. There is a how-to someone put on the net for routing this way. If I were to do it again, I would probably spend a little more time and get the antenna routed up into the lid. My range is only so-so with them under the palmrest. It will work if you are willing to spend a little time.

In that .pdf there were many 2647-XX, but not "-8MG"...Is it an European model of some same USA model ?

Will this work ? Plug and play...What range has these USB without antenna ?

Having installed internal wireless in a T23 chassis before, I'd have to say that for best performance you should probably change the lid assembly of your 8MG to one which came with the factory wireless antennas already installed. Those lids have the plastic windows in the sides which allow for better radio reception and transmission. Some T23 model types which had built-in WiFi and the same XGA panel as your system are 2NU, 4NU, 4SU, 7NU, 8NU, 8SU (among others). If you wish, you could upgrade your XGA screen to SXGA+ (1400x1050) by replacing the whole lid assembly (video cable as well). Such units were types 5LU, 5NU, 5SU, 9LU, 9NU, 9SU, HLU, HNU, HSU. Note that these were models intended for the US market and may not be easily obtainable in Europe. Consult the Lenovo Support page ( http://support.lenovo.com ) where you can plug in the model type into the Quick Path search box and find out what the original configuration of the system was.
