T30 WiFi switch?
T30 WiFi switch?
My WiFi card inside isnt finding any WiFi networks. Is there an external switch, or am I missing something? Thanks!

Re: T30 WiFi switch?
There is no physical switch on T30.

Re: T30 WiFi switch?
Have you installed the Hotkey driver from Lenovo? (to make the Fn+F8 work)
Also, keep in mind if you are using Windows 7/Vista, the later versions of the hotkey driver do not work properly on machines older than the T61 or T60 under Windows 7/Vista (I believe when I had 7 on my T30 and my T43, I had to use 8JVU23WW.EXE because I tried later versions and they were not supported or did not work)

Re: T30 WiFi switch?
No, I just got around to playing with it yesterday, I put XP on it since Its only seeing 256MB of the 512MB in it. 7 and Vista wouldn't run on that (obviously). Seriously considering just running 98SE or just plain ol DOS on it for games.danikayser84 wrote:Have you installed the Hotkey driver from Lenovo? (to make the Fn+F8 work)

Re: T30 WiFi switch?
That sounds like one of the RAM slots is bad, something that these machines are infamous for.128keaton wrote: Its only seeing 256MB of the 512MB in it.
Get a single 1GB DDR DIMM, put W2K on it and call it a day. You'll love the results. Seriously.
