There is no physical switch on T30.

In order for us to help you more efficiently, please provide the OS that you're running and the model of wireless card that is in the machine

Have you installed the Hotkey driver from Lenovo? (to make the Fn+F8 work)

Also, keep in mind if you are using Windows 7/Vista, the later versions of the hotkey driver do not work properly on machines older than the T61 or T60 under Windows 7/Vista (I believe when I had 7 on my T30 and my T43, I had to use 8JVU23WW.EXE because I tried later versions and they were not supported or did not work)
Current: W701 2544-W1C (Win7), T61 6460-DWU (Win7), T61 8892-01U (Win7), Semi-Retired: T43 2668-4DU (WinXP)

No, I just got around to playing with it yesterday, I put XP on it since Its only seeing 256MB of the 512MB in it. 7 and Vista wouldn't run on that (obviously). Seriously considering just running 98SE or just plain ol DOS on it for games.

That sounds like one of the RAM slots is bad, something that these machines are infamous for.

Get a single 1GB DDR DIMM, put W2K on it and call it a day. You'll love the results. Seriously.
