(T23) Could not display the page

#1 Post by bobbelause » Wed Aug 12, 2020 2:01 am

Hi, i went on my Thinkpad t23 yesterday only to find out that when i click on a website it just says: Could not display the page. (this error https://bit.ly/2XSFGpg)
But today is different, now it says that the security certificate is wrong, and could not get that to work either, so now i am seeking help.
If you know how to fix the two problems, then it would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Some more information is needed.

What OS? What browser? Are you using HTTPS? What security protocols are enabled for your browser? Is both the date and time on your computer correct? Can you access the most basic of websites, e.g. neverssl.com?

The only versions of Explorer supported on Vista are hopelessly outdated. You should use at least a Chromium or Mozilla-based browsers. These also don't support Vista anymore (except unofficial builds), but at least Slimjet 10 / Firefox 52.9 are miles better than IE9.

You'll run into problems trying to run modern browsers on old computers because most of them require SSE2 instructions, which the Pentium III (and older) lacks.
