T23 with Windows 2000 - unknown device - SOLVED

#1 Post by Edward Mendelson » Fri May 07, 2021 1:32 pm

I've installed Windows 2000 SP4 in a ThinkPad T23, and have one unknown device in Device Manager. When viewing by connection, it's at this point in the tree:

PCIBus
Intel(R)82810 CAM LPC Intervace Controller -248C
Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller
Unknown Device

It's on the same level with Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsfot ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery

Is there a fix for this?

It's the "IBM PM Device", installed by running uttppmxp.exe:

Or, closer to home:
