Have you read the recent discussions here about batteries? Perhaps yours needs "calibrating." How many charge cycles has it been through? Do you use it often or mostly leave it on AC?
Sorry for not addressing your actual question, I wish I could. It seems most batteries on eBay are aftermarket and most say to shy away from them. Original IBM batteries are rather pricey. Avoid buying "new old stock" as these batteries have a shelf life.

134 doesn't sound excessive. You might benefit from "reconditioning" your battery. You do this by disabling the shutoff timers, etc so the battery will discharge totally till the machine shuts off, not just suspend or hibernate. You discharge it up to 3 times and fully recharge. It's best to let it recharge overnight with the machine off. This procedure is recommended once a month for machines (with Lithium Ion batteries) that stay connected to AC power and don't run down the battery occasionally. You can find this infomation by left-clicking on the battery gauge then going to Battery Information>> Battery Health>> Battery Tips.
I've bought a lot (30+) of generic batteries from simplemicro.com for different laptops and they all worked great. They used to sell batteries for T2x for $53, but this offer obviously is not avalable anymore. Here is a battery for a T30:

Mine was only yellow when I received it recently but came back into green after reconditioning. It was at 29 Wh when I started and after deep cycling 3 times it was up to 45.4; factory is 47.5.xnjselfdestructx wrote:When i hit battery health it says battery needs to be replaced in red.
Did you click on and read "Battery Tips" when you had the "Battery Health" window open?

Download the Software Installer. It makes life much easier. It will automatically download and install all the latest drivers and software for your machine. Or, you can manually download what you want HERE.

A lot of the IBM utilities have prerequisites that must be installed before they will work. The batterymaximizer is one of them.
Go here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/ , choose "detect my system" and then "drivers and downloads". You'll be taken to a page listing everything available. Read the installation instructions on those pages carefully and make a list of the things you'll need to install each package.
