I have two T20 system boards with bad eeproms, and one that works perfectly. I'd like to fix these boards and sell them, but pre-flashed eeproms sell for almost as much as working system boards on ebay. I've read about people fixing improperly flashed BIOS chips by booting up to a BIOS flash utility with a good chip in the board, swapping in the bad chip while the computer is running and flashing it. I'm wondering if this is possible with the T20's eeprom.
I'm aware that swapping surface mount chips is harder than many desktop BIOS chips that just plug in to a socket. I said possible, not easy.
Possible to change eeprom flash BIOS with machine turned on?
