Docking Station vs Docking Station II

Hello!

I am the proud owner (well, it is still in the mail !) of a T-20. It is a basic model, with just a 500MHz P-III processor (yes, it seems in Europe there was such a model!). Of course, it has the 13.3" display.

Well, besides being a basic model, it seems in good shape and fully working (will know for sure in short time ). It comes with 256Mb RAM, 20Gb HD, Windows XP Professional, CD-ROM and floppy disk (RAM and HD were updated by former owner)

I have already bought a 900 MHz P-III and an updated fan assembly which I hope will be compatible with my basic T-20 (any hint about this ?)

Ok, so once you know more or less what I will get, I would ask you about which Docking Station to buy. I have seen very cheap units of the older model but II version seems to be still expensive. So I wonder which are the differences and if they will be a plus for my T-20

Jose. Congrats on a great TP. I too own a T20 and love it.

regarding the 900Mhz P3-M, i think you might get it to work. However the 900Mhz cpu (i think) runs on a 133Mhz fsb, while the T20 motherboard/ram can only run at 100Mhz fsb. Another thing is the cpu might require more voltage while in AC mode. it all depends on the stepping of the cpu

i suggest you post the stepping of the cpu on here so that someone can tell you more clearly whether or not it works.
