I am however searching for the rare 1400x1050 screen for it. That and no USB 2.0 native (I have a card for it though, and firewire).
I picked mine up about 6 months ago on e-bay. A nice 1.2GHz model with 512MB ram and combo drive. I paid a little over 400 for it. The seller included a new battery, a dock and ac adaper as well. The machine came off of government lease and had 1 year left on the warranty. I have absolutely no problems with any hardware of any kind.
If only it had Rage or a Radeon.
That is the 1400x1050 model right? Dear god, that is very expensive. Maybe prices will drop soon. I guessing that this is one of those uber rare parts?

I have a T20, which I use most days for reading, some emulation and games (not much, as I prefer a console for gaming).
I've had no trouble with the T20 at all, except for the Windows problems that anyone who uses Windows has to expect). I'm not too experienced or knowledgable about laptops, but in my opinion the T20 is a great machine for it's price (I paid £250) and is very reliable, with a great screen display.

hi, why was the x24 not posted? I use mine each day at work and home and most of the time I'm carrying it all the time I can stop in compusa and check my email and anyother hot stop. I traded up from 570 and love it. It's a great little laptop. but why wasn;t the x24 listed? Just got the recovery disk from IBM and installed it to factory.

The X24 wasn't listed because it was a post on T-series Thinkpads, not the X-series Thinkpads.paula20744 wrote:hi, why was the x24 not posted? prefer A series over T
Not to make waves, but over the past two years, I've accumulated 45 A20m's, A21m's, A22m's, one A21p (my baby), and regrettably one A21e, which I keep in pieces, to remind myself of "researching things first". My favorites are the 12.1" TFT's which are bright and clear. The 15" units are great to play DVD's on. I've found that certain models of the 2628-xxx are to be avoided. Although they are heavy, they LAST. I've now taken on the T20's (9 of them, all 2647's) and a T21 2647-4AU. The problems with them I will list in the near future if I cannot find previous posting to help. I also have 4 i-series 1300 1171's and 2 i-series 1200 1161's (I stayed away from the 1400-1500 series). The T-series by far have given me the most headaches, but the 2647-41U's, 86U's and 92U seem flawless. The 52U's and 46U's are frustrating. I suppose bad batches are common, but I still find myself handling the T-series more carefully. My hobby has grown into an obsession (obviously) so don't be too hard on this first-timer. I've had a dell, but quickly sold it.

Given your collection of T20s versus the higher end T2x's, you should really try collecting more of the T21s or the T23s. Some may disagree, but I think that the odd numbered T2xs were better built than the even numbered T2xs. I have heard some people make the same claim, but reversed for the A series.
The T20 was the first model of the T2x series, thus it had a few kinks to work out.

With the T2xs that I have worked on and played with, the T21 and the T23 seemed to have less problems, such as power problems. Every T22 that I have some across has had a problem, generally a power problem. The T20's that I have touched seemed to have had everything from backlight problems to power problems. I know that the T20 is older, so one might expect to see more problems due to its age.
And just for the record, my opinion is just that.....my opinion, based on what I have seen. I could have also just been unlucky.
