T22 loud beeps and suspend/hibernate issues.

I just went thru this machine - new hard drive and latest BIOS. Installed all the latest utilities and software including the power management stuff. when on battery, and it goes into suspend mode I get super loud beeps and it's really hard to get back into windows. other than that it runs XP well with the 2 pieces of 256MB PC133 I put in it. something in the BIOS that needs to be changed maybe? should I disable hibernate in XP?

It might be the ram. I thought that the T20-T22 series took only PC100 Low density ram, and that only the T23 took PC133 ram.
