I found a PIII 1.2 but it's s478.

Confusing.

Will it fit a T23?

I don't think there is such a thing as a PIII S478.

The Mobile p3-m chips are socket 478. they are electrically and phsically incompatable with the desktop s478 and mobile s479m

that said, there was never socket370 in notebooks. the T20-22 were MPGA2, T23 is s478m. any s478 p3 will fit and work in teh T23, as they are ALL mobile pentium 3-m varients, that socket was never used in anything else.

are you saying even the T20/T21/T22 is a MPGA2 - ie. s478???

This is a relevation.

I worked on Toshibas and they had soldered CPUs so I always assumed it was s370.
