T23 mouse freezes....

#1 Post by Macflo » Fri May 05, 2006 8:46 am

My T23 freezes momentarily (several seconds) while I'm online.
It seems a process start in the background but I cannot identify it.
Does someone has an idea what I should do to solve this?
Everything else runs fine, please help.

T23, 512kb, 30gb, cd-rw, wireless, all drivers updated.

I have seen cases where spyware/adware processes have had a similar effect on machines in the past. Worth doing a full scan if you haven't done so already.

Ok, if you don't currently use one I'd recommend giving your system a scan with Lavasoft's Adaware (free to use for personal use), available here. It's worth a shot.

i had this problem too after i updated IBM access connections utility using the automatic update service. the mouse would act strangely, often pausing for splt seconds but fairly regularly. I too suspected spyware, but spybot and Adaware found nothing.

it seemed to be a problem with my Orinoco pcmcia wifi card & IBM AC. I uninstalled both the program & card drivers and am sticking with just the orinoco client. If its IBM AC related, try without it.

It funny that you mention that. I have the same card and IBM AC, and was having some hesitation with the trackpoint. I would attempt to move it and it didn't respond, so I would move it again. Its like it would only work on the second touch/movement. Since I have updated to the latest AC, I haven't had the problem....though I didn't notice it until I read this last post. (Just updated a few days ago)
