T21 display work on a T23?

#1 Post by ToeKnee » Fri May 05, 2006 2:10 pm

My T23 had a little fall and trashed the display. Luckily I think the rest of the laptop seems to be running. Works great plugged into a monitor anyway.

I found a used display on Ebay, which the guy said was from a T21 but it should work on my T23. This is my first attempt at repairing this laptop, so I'm not all that familar with it. The first thing I noticed was I forgot to specify my display had the antenna for the wireless network inside of it. The one I got off Ebay does not. Everything else looked look it should work though. The mountings and connector all seemed the same. However, after getting it all reassembled the backlight on this display is not working. Can anyone tell me if the pin out on the connector from a T21 are different from a T23 (2648)? Either the backlight is dead on this display or it's just the wrong model display for this model T23.
