Dive change on T21 running Windows ME

#1 Post by niterpbin » Sun May 07, 2006 4:45 am

Hello everyone,

I bought a used T21 a couple of weeks ago, and am having problems with changing the floopy drive and DVD-ROM drive in the Untrabay 2000. Whichever one I boot with works fine, but hot-swapping them means that the new drive cannot be recongised.

I tried installing the FASTSWAP drivers from the Lenovo website to get the message "This software will not run on this computer".

When I bought the T21, it had an old copy of Windows XP on it, and that recognised the drive change almost instantly, so I assume both the floppy drive and DVD-ROM are working ok.

Any advice or suggestions will be very welcome.

Regards,

Robin.

I remember being able to install an eject utility from the t21 drivers listing when I had my t21
that and you could always use the windows hotplug wizard in the taskbar
