Ultrabay Battery

For some reason my ultrabay battery has stopped charging. It won't charge off either the AC adapter, or when I have it docked.

What's weird though, is that windows see's it (ACPI Compatible doohcikey). My charge stat goes from 100% to 57% (to indicate that of the total capapcity of the 2 batteries, the remaining charge is 57%). It will stay like that forever. I have left it off, and plugged in all weekend long. Nothing.

I was wondering if there was some kind of battery reconditioning software, or if you guys might have any ideas. Although I am not adverse to the idea of purchasing a new battery, I was kind of hoping ot keep my current one going.

try disabling all your shutoff timers and just let the battery run completely down, till it dies. Then give it a recharge and see if you get any more life out of it.
