Screwed on T22 from eBay - BIOS POP/SUPVSR password lock

#1 Post by w!nx » Sat May 20, 2006 6:20 pm

:!: :!: I got creamed on a T22 from eBay. It looks like a POP issue. Default pwd "0000" does not work.
I've tried all recomnended ways to clear CMOS and the like, but it doesnt work.

Are there mainboard jumpers to set to clear CMOS and BIOS?

No floppy drive - only DVD/CDR works - can i make a BOOTABLE UTILITY CD that will reset everything???

IBM says to replace mainboard or HDD

Is there no other known POP pwds that may work, even if its a SUPVSR pwd??

And are the pwds stored on the EEPROM security chip?

Is there ANYONE here that can help me with this issue? I've tried everything except sending my new paperweight to IBM or another servicer.
