T23 Semi-elliptical bright spot

#1 Post by archer6 » Thu Jun 15, 2006 9:34 pm

My T23 SXGA+ 14.1" display has developed a bright spot that is Semi-elliptical in shape. It's more of a "bright line" as opposed to a spot. Perhaps a better description would be if one where to use a colored (white) marker to draw a half circle line on the lower left corner of the display. Almost like placing a quarter on the display and tracing around half of it with the marker, thereby leaving a white line.

Other than this, the display is still perfectly illuminated. It displays images, fonts, whatever is on the screen perfectly. At this point it's simply a distraction or annoyance.

Anyone have any ideas of the significance of this. I can, and have been "just living with it", however I thought I would ask if this is an indicator? For those of you with experience in this area, it would be great to get some feedback on this.

Thanks,
Archer6
