Urgent help needed with Bios update please

Just tried to update Bios on an IBM T22....battery pack showed full 100%...update started...now lappy wont restart to finish update and battery lights flashing orange...any damage limitation suggestions or is there nothing i can do.

Edit:

Don't know what we did but laptop is now restarted...Bios hasn't updated but i'll swap the battery before we do anything else.
