Hi,
I just bought my first ever laptop froma PC fair in London for £205 around $415, 256MB, 20GB, 750MHz, DVD Player. and all good condition and so far no problems at all except for if I mistakenly leave microphone mute off then speaker make a very loud strange noise.
May I ask how good reliable would it be to keep this laptop, if it is working fine with battery workin' out 1hr, is it a keeper. I am thinking of getting an upgrade within a few months. I am new to laptops and no idea if these are refurbished or how they work.
Any info will be most welcome.
Thanks.

I would probably keep it for while, unless you can find someone willing to pay almost as much as you did. Here in the US, $415 is WAY to much for a T21. You could have gotten a T40 for about $40 more. T23s regularly sell for less than $275-300.
Now, having said that, I absolutely love my T21. It does everything that I need it to do. I use my daily. I have many fully functional desktops and laptops, yet I am always on the T21.

Yeah! I agree with tfflivemb2!! The thinkpad T21 can do almost everything......except modern games and heavy illustration work. A frequent hard disk defrag, and some performance tweaking....will just run fine.michaelkane wrote:Hi,
