T21 wifi options

#1 Post by jem » Fri Jul 21, 2006 11:30 am

I'm having a problem with the combi card for lan/modem. If I have the card installed the whole system freezes. I have now tried 3 different cards and the same problem ocurrs so I suspect there may be a problem with the actual board.

I though the easiest way around it was to use WiFi now that I have a wireless access point. What are my options? Can I just use a USB wireless solution?

You can go with the USB adapter but the range is very limited. I would go with a wifi pc card. I just bought 3 AirLink 108SuperG pc cards for $15/ea for my kids T23's from Fry's Electronics.

JHEM was saying in another thread that the 3Com XJack wifi card(dont have the model) is a good choice. It powers up when the antenna is popped out and with it in, is off, saving battery power.
