What router are you using for your Atheros Wifi cards?

#1 Post by skygodtj » Sun Jul 23, 2006 11:49 pm

What router are you using to get the SuperG(108) speeds for your Atheros 108G cards?

The last two days I have had really bad luck with three different 108G routers, one AirLink101 and two DLink 108G routers being bad. I want to find a good router that will work with AirLink SuperG and Atheros mini-pci cards. The AirLink SuperG's have Atheros chipsets. My current DLink Access point is only a 54G and yeah I get pretty good signal, but I'd like to find something that works with well with the Atheros's..

Any recommendations?

TJ

please note that the IBM cards featuring the atheros chipsets have the 108mpbs capability disactivated. there is a thread on how to activate it over in the t4x forum, i believe.

you have to add 2 strings into the registry for that card. 1 is like an abolt string, and the other is a disableTurboG string. Hope that helps

Im not using a 108g router thats why I didnt say which one i was using. I was responding to the reply about enabling the 108g mode, but i wish I had a 108g router.

i love it, but to be honest... i still use wired lan if i have to copy/move large files. its still twice as fast as wireless even in 108 M/bit mode.
