cheaper ram then sticky?

#1 Post by junknstuff » Mon Aug 07, 2006 8:52 pm

i was looking for ram (fru: 33L3070) so i searched google using just the fru. after a page or two i found this:
http://www.kahlon.com/itemdetailpg.asp?itemid=43627

looks like it is selling for cheaper then the ram in the sticky, but i understand the ram in the sticky is also from curcial/kingston and also 133 or something.

its $52shipped (free us mailing!) so i figured i'd post it here since i havent seen it.

if its a double post....let me put on my flameretardent suit first cause i didnt find it when i searched "kahlon" on here...

If you limited your search to just the T2x/T3x forum, then yes you would find nothing. However, since this memory is used in other systems (600X for example), there are at least five threads in the 600 forum in which "kahlon pc100 256*" is mentioned.

At $52, that's still about $15-$20 more than what I was paying for these modules on eBay a few months ago. If you are patient and resourceful, eBay can yield 256MB PC100 CL2 low density modules for around $30-$35 (shipping included). Once you get them, run 'em through PC Doctor or memtest86+ to make sure they are working.

Ah, here's one that just finished:

Just make sure to get low density chips.
