Ultrabay HHD _ unallocated disk error

#1 Post by chewiesw » Fri Aug 18, 2006 10:16 am

I am trying to use a ultrabay hdd on a T30, with a 40 gig disk, I can see the disc in BIOS and in computer management -disc management which claims it is unallocated, how do I allocate it?? I have tried formatting the disc using partition managers, I have formated the disk without the ultrabay hdd caddy all with no success I still get the unallocated problem.

Please HELP

Many Thanks

Hi;

I think what you need to do is assign a drive letter to the drive, then Windows will see the disk.

Go To:
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Computer Management
Disk Management

Right click the disk, then choose "Assign Drive Letter"
