Can I hang an external Keyboard off my Thinkpad T22?

Seems to be only one PS2 port and that's for a mouse.

regards,

ab :)

I think you can use either a keyboard or a mouse in that port. If not you can use a USB keyboard.

I've been reading in this forum about folks having hassles and got the impression that port is for a mouse only.

As for USB keyboards:

I didn't even know they made them. That's the easy way. A USB hub and whatever I want.

Thank you.

regards,

ab

It takes a Y-adapter to use that port for a keyboard.

The PS2 type port on older Thinkpads is a MOUSE port only!

In order to connect a keyboard and a mouse at the same time to the port you must use a Y-Splitter. Here's the Belkin one that IBM branded and sold for years as their own.

But this shortcoming is easily overcome by using a USB keyboard as several other posters have mentioned.

I'll keep that in mind.
I used an external mouse and keyboard on my T23 but always with a port replicator.
