Extened RAM counts SLOW!

#1 Post by DJMic » Fri Sep 01, 2006 11:57 am

I have a ThinkPad T30 and I used the method on thinkwiki.org to fix my lan card not accepted error 1802 code then after that you use the same disc to fix 01C9 error and all it did is error out and now my Extended RAM counts up really slow (not bios setting checked) Can anyone help or know of any way to fix this?

enter the BIOS and disable "Diagnostic Boot" and/or "Extended Memory Test".

Works on my T23, so T30 might be different.

Go figure that a bios hack has cause supplimental problems! If the option within the bios no longer exists to no do an extended memory scan, or that setting doesn't make a difference in either position, reflash the bios to the latest level.

If you currently have the latest BIOS, try backing down to the last BIOS, then back up again...then reapply the hack. Maybe it didn't take right.
