Fan control on Thinkpads : T20 T30.. etc

#1 Post by iseron » Mon Sep 25, 2006 2:01 pm

I found and tested this software for controlling the fan speed.

OS: Windows & Linux

Is interesting when you want to keep really cool the CPU, at least i can control to an steady 39°C. Ad you can choose the speed level.

Warning: After a while your fan can begin to make son weird noises (in my case), like an old FAN. So take care of the abuse of this software.

Of course also. READ ALL THE DISCLAIMERS AND INFOS.

There is already a sticky and tons of posts on this topic (T4X area). I have tried to use it on a T20 and T23 but it does not work.

It works great with my T30

Applying AS5 TIM also helped to keep the CPU temp down.

What are your TPFancontrol values?
