80GB Hard drive for T23

#1 Post by goyteck » Wed Oct 04, 2006 5:14 pm

Dear all:

I am having a T23 ThinkPad but is having big-time problems with my current harddrive. I am thinking to upgrade to a 80 GB Hitachi Travelstar ATA/IDE. I wonder if anybody know that T23 can accept a
80GB hard drive without any changes needed to the BIOS.

Your kind advice will be very much appreciated... :D

I have a 60 GB 7200 rpm Hitachi in my T23, installed almost a year ago. No problems with that, so I can see no reason that it should give you problems with an 80.

I think people have successfully used even 100GB 7200rpm hard drives on the T23. Nothing to worry about.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
Acer T272HUL; Crossover 404K; Dell 3008WFP, U2715H, U2711, P2416D; Monoprice 10734; QNIX QHD2410R; Seiki Pro SM40UNP
