No, there wasn't a 1.3, but there was a 1.13.

The ram would be perfect for it.

thanks
i thought so, still paid about 115$ for it, ram cost a bit more , i love my t22 that has a 1gig p3 i have max the ram at 512 i am hoping that the t23 will feel abit quicker i reckon i may have to get a new m/b and look out for a 1.2g cpu although i wonder how much quicker that extra will make , i found going from 900 to the 1ghz on the t22 did help a lot so maybe one of the people here has tried it already, also is there anywhere in the uk that supplies suitable dvd combo drives like the type in various threads here and if theres a choice which is better.

With the same amount of ram in place, you will definately feela difference between the PIII 1.0GHz and the PIII 1.13GHz processors. The 1.13GHz processor is a Tualatin processor. These bad boys can out perform the early P4 processors, up to 1.6GHz.

Yes, there was a 1.2. I was trying to help the OP determine what his cpu was....which was a 1.13.

hello

i id read in a thread here that there were some faster p111 tulatin cpu,s that are mobile type's .
it often seems the need for speed overtakes common sense ,
my wife would say it's a man thing ?.

Did you win it? Most people on eBay like to bid during the last half minute, so I hope you were able to fight off those last-minute bidders. And if you did win it, please let us know whether you notice any difference between the two speeds. I have used both 1.13GHz and 1.2GHz T23's (still own the latter) but didn't have a chance to compare them side by side.

If I remember correctly, there is a noticeable performance difference between a T23 with 1.13 and one with 1.2 but the diff comes from the 1.2 having a larger cache.

In my humble opinion, it makes more sense to buy a 1.0 and install a used fast hard drive and be sure to have 512 MB memory. Seems to me that is an inexpensive way to outperform a 1.13 T23, plus you get a larger HDD.

The performance diff between a 256MB, stock hdd, 1.0 & a 412MB, & a $10 USB 2.0 PC Card & fast HDD is enough that it cannot be called just a "man thing" ...Or so...it seems to me.

hello BQ

i think your logic is fine , it is that every so often i get to use the credit card so like the sensible squirel i like to get as much in as possible for that very short window of oppertunity plus i have a very good xp 64x2core pc for games and hardcore stuff , but would like a laptop to use as media feeder plus holidays ,w/e away the t22 was fair but even this t23 feels alot better so iwill compare the t22 1.0g 512m ,80g hd with a t23 1.13g 1.0gb ram ,30g h/d to finally a t23 1.2g ,1.0gb ram ,120gb hd that will keep me quite for a while plus the cheapest new laptop is about £350 , so iget to fiddle plus i get a better (imho) laptop.

i lost the 1.2g at about £28 but won another in the usa with shipping about £20 the 1gig of ram works great also fitted 120 gb hd , thought to buy a combo dvd with d/l but i think it would be a waste still waiting the arrival of the back light from the states so will find out if my hyundi 14" panel is svga its not listed at lenovo at all, the specs there claim mine should be svga but the panel could have been changed ,for reference its a hyundi ht14x14-101n

ibm p/n 05k9867
fru 05k9868
to be fair given its got ibm on it it may well be svga
the built in wifi works well but is 11m max athough it always shows full signal ,the battery must be almost new cos it is reluctant to go flat watched a film for an hour and it still had 67% left ,the new hd runs cooler than my 80g samsung .

docking question there are lots of 02k8668 on ebay is it true you can fit a low profile vid card if so is it agp or pci and what are the choices . ianf
