Sanity check requested - T30 for sale on eBay

#1 Post by rkawakami » Fri Oct 06, 2006 8:23 pm

Okay, no comments concerning my sanity, right?

This came up recently on eBay:

IBM ThinkPad T30 (link removed by OP in order to protect his future investment :) )

I looked at the picture and then sent this to the seller:

I know it's not an A31 either since it's missing the column of buttons on the left side of the keyboard. I should know, I'm typing this ON an A31 right now. This was the reply:

T30's used a bulky chassis not much different than an A30/A31. They were not sleek like T2x and T4x series.
Am I completely wrong? I don't believe that the T30s ever came without the touchpad. And can anyone identify exactly what that is?

Not sure, but it looks like a T30 to me.

FYI, there were some T30s without the touchpad. (see page 140 of the HMM)

Okay, shoulda checked the tawbook more carefully...

Just saw that some T30 models came without the Ultranav.

I hereby withdraw my original statement. You can make remarks about my sanity. Thanks!

(edit: OK Chris... I see you lurking out there...)
