Is the Ultra Bay 2000 an external DVD Writer? Is it any good? Is it easy to install & run. Thanks.

Ultrabay 2000 is the swapable drive slot where your current CD/RW drive is residing. You can take the drive out and replace it with a floppy, DVD-ROM, DVD-Writer or a Ultrabay battery.
