T30 HDD size limit?

#1 Post by smd » Sun Oct 15, 2006 3:59 pm

I'm planning to upgrade the system hard disk in my T30, and I'd like to put in the biggest one I can. But a few sources have indicated that the T30 can't use a HDD larger than 80 GB. Is this true? If so, why? Is there any easy workaround?

If there's anybody out there using a >80 GB HDD in a T30, I'd like to hear about your experiences.

There isn't a specific limit, according to the T30. There is a Win98 (fat32) limit of 137GB. As long as you are using WinXP or Win2K (NTFS), or Linux, you can use the largest available PATA hard drive available. The current largest is 160GB, but Fujitsu is supposed to be releasing a larger one this month (~200GB)
