Copying one hard drive to another.

#1 Post by newyorkpaulie » Fri Oct 20, 2006 5:59 am

I just snagged a T23 (on ebaY) and I will want to copy my current files from my T20 to the new hard drive. Is there a recommended method? Thanks.

There is no good way to move from a T20 to a T23 without reinstalling the operating system. It will blue screen if you try to boot the drive. If all you want to do is copy data, then you can either buy a HDD drive tray that replaces your optical drive or you can use a 2.5" external USB enclosure.

Try using the Migration Assistant.
