I just used the origional restore CDs to restore the factory defaults prior to selling a used T30 and I have 2 problems. The restore partition is gone (no F11 for recovery option). Is there a way to put it back?
After doing the recovery, I no longer have the option to hibernate. (No hibernate tab under "power" to create the hibernate file)
Any ideas?
Lost recovery partition plus no hibernation after recovery

Click on the HD Clone link below, follow the procedure toward the bottom of the document "repairing the f11 function" it is very simple and fairly straightforward, i'v done it with my t30 using a USB floppy drive.
Not sure about the hibernation issue. If you go to power options and select advanced and select "when I close the lid of my computer" do you see the "hibernate" option? If you go through the battery maximizer wizard there is an option in there I think to enable hibernation/disable hibernation also.
