#1 Post by etherburn » Thu Nov 23, 2006 4:54 am

I have a T30 laptop and I installed a second Kingston 256 Ram in the second slot but when I go to Windows XP system it still read as 256 is there something wrong in the laptop? Do I need to go to the bios setting?

Hi there. If you do a search, you might be suprise to find that it is a known issue to the T30's memory slot.

Now, let's get your fingers do some walking... :D

Yes, the second slot is faulty that is a well known problem in the T30's you can try to put something on top of it so it creates some pressure when you put the memory cover, if that doesn't work then a new motherboard your option.
