If you've got a NIC card, try uninstalling that and then reinstall. I'd probably try doing that to the modem also. In my experiences, NICs, modems, and sound cards have caused more conflicts than anything else.

Welcome to thinkpads.com!

Could be hardware, software or firmware :) . Does it do this with every type of sound source (i.e., online video site, streaming audio, music CD, mp3 file, etc.) or only a specific source? If it stutters only with a CD (and only with a specific CD), then there could be a small spot on disc. If it does it with ALL of your CDs, then there could be a problem with the laser carriage in the CD/DVD drive. If that is the case, you should be able to figure out what the elapsed time is on each CD and if they are close to the same time, then that points to your drive. Doubtful that there is any problem with the software/drivers. If you can swap in another optical drive, that can also help to determine where the problem is.

but when i am playing CD or download song and play it there is no issue.

Also if i am playing a song and start some download there is issue with the sound,

What you are experiencing is quite normal for "streaming" multimedia (sound and/or video). Small packets of data are being sent out from the originating site but not all of them are making it to your computer. It's just something you have to live with, even if you are using a broadband connection (DSL or cable). When you try to download additional information from other sites (i.e., using a web browser to visit a page or download a file), the data stream is now being shared and you are losing some of the bits and pieces of the audio program.
