T23 Battery Problem

#1 Post by jamiphar » Sun Dec 10, 2006 4:14 pm

The battery in my T23 seems to take a good charge, but Windows will show it at 0% after 30-45 minutes. But it will keep running for another 45-60 minutes at 0% before it actually turns off.
I'd be content with the life of the battery if I could just know when it's actually going to go out. Anybody know how to fix this?

Hello, I've been having battery woes myself lately. Don't know if this will help, but my windows battery icon and my Battery Maximiser icon showed different % left too. I shut down the computer, took the battery out for 2 minutes, put it back in and fired it up. They both read the same thing. Also after reconditioning the battery twice and letting it run down to 1%, I have shut down the computer and taken the battery out for minute or two and booted back up. That seems to reset everything too. Hope you can find a cure.

Yes, even batteryrefill.com will tell you that if you have a problem with the percentages not reading right, to perform the reconditioning 3 times, to straighten it out.

Ok, I'll try that out and see if it helps.

It seems to be doing pretty much the same thing even though I let it run out three or four times.
Also, Maximiser shows the same percentages as the Windows icon.
Could the processor on the battery be bad? The battery only has 50 cycles.

I wonder if this has anything to do with it; I just noticed that I've been using one of the 56w adapters instead of the recommended 72w adapter. Could this be the cause?

The two times I've reconditioned batteries by running them to 3% and fully charging, I've ended up with batteries that went from GREEN to RED, and from 35wh to 20wh.

Proceed with caution if it's an old battery.
