Bluetooth stuffing

#1 Post by x3ss » Thu Dec 14, 2006 4:21 pm

Hello all,
I just want to say congrats for the forum u run here, it's great support for IBM/Lenovo laptops along with the great support of IBM/Lenovo itself.

Now the real business:
I want to stuff a bluetooth usb dongle in my T23 but i'd like to know where can I fit it? I was thinking of stripping the plastic case of the dongle and remove the metallic usb connector and to solder some wires from the usb connector from the top of the screen to use that one so I won't use any of the two usb's from the back of the laptop.
I would also like to make some kind of a switch to disconnect the + power wire to stop the dongle from drawing power when I'm not using it, but this i think i can manage after I/we :) figure out where I can fit the stripped down dongle.
I was thinking of glueing it somewhere near the top connector, behind the LCD bezel in the gap between the top of the LCD panel and the case...

Thanks in advance.

Cezar.

Hy, 10x for the replay but:

I want the usb thingy because I would like to actually use the Ultraport II usb connector and it's cheaper my intended way [about 10-15U$].
Another problem would be that ebay stopped romanian user making accounts if i remember wright...and look on the bottom of the page on the right, they are cautious to whom they are selling so I have to meet those requirements witch is pretty hard being new on ebay [if i can register].

10x anyway.
