other possibilities that i can think of could be a error with the mini-pci card, or a ram error.
to test the RAM; if you have two sticks of ram installed try running the computer with only one of them and then try with the other for a while to see if one of them is diffective.
to test if the mini-pci card is causing the error simply remove it from the laptop (this will leave you without network and modem) and see if the error goes away, if so you may need a new mini-pci card (althougth it could still be a motherboard issue).
you can get instructions on removing the mini-pci card in the technical manual for you model, if you need them.
finally you could always try and run the diagnostic disc for your model, however from what you have said i would guess it is not possible, as the error would come up.
