Is there a difference b/w T21 and T22 fan?

#1 Post by helmet4000 » Sat Jan 20, 2007 3:18 pm

I just did the 800mhz to 1ghz (SL53S) upgrade on my t21 and i was wondering if a t22 fan assembly would be a good idea or if the two models simply have identical assemblies?

thanks,
tom

According to the System service parts page, they use different fan assemblies, 04P3448 for T21 and 08K7268 or 26P9317 for T22.

I've just done this upgrade and it seems to have cooled the cpu by about 5 degrees, maybe more. It turns out my 5400rpm drive is the real source of heat. Not sure what to do about that though.
