T22 Hard disk upgrade.

#1 Post by ccjmoey » Mon Jan 29, 2007 8:40 am

Hi.

I am wondering whether is it possible for me to upgrade the hard drive to a WD 80GB Scorpio 8MB cache EIDE 44-pin drive? I am not sure it is recognisable by the laptop. The BIOS is the latest version (since 2004/2005).

Thanks.

It should work. As long as you updated the BIOS to the latest version, then is should be able to see any IDE hard drive you put in there. At least that is how it goes for the 600 series.

Yep. Scorpios are nice drives, too. An 80 or even a 100GB drive would be a nice upgrade.
