T23 security chip?

I noticed the security chip is disabled in my BIOS. What are thre advantages of enabling it?

Some models of T23 is equipped with security chip but some don't. My T23 have the security chips function but unable to use it. Most probably......due to the hardware isn't there.
Not quite sure about that....thou. I would like to know as well.
