T30 bluetooth daughter card not working

#1 Post by elzopi » Wed Jan 31, 2007 9:32 pm

I have a 2366-84U T30, I purchased a bluetooth daughter card and installed the software. The switch in the LCD turns on the blue LED indicator and the bluetooth icon appears in the system tray.

The problem is that I can't get any bluetooth device to connect to my computer, these devices have been tested with other computers and they are found and work.

I remember while installing the daughter card that a 2 pin connector in the card was not connected because I couldn't find any nearby male connector, I guess it is the antenna.

My computer also has builtin Wi-Fi that works very well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great Forum! All my famiily uses Thinkpads only. :)

Yeah, you need the antenna for Bluetooth to work. You should be able to find that part for cheap and install it in the lid with out much problem.
I have finally rejoined the dark side.

cheap and nasty solution is to disconnect the aux antenna from your wifi card and plug it into the bluetooth connector.
