Is there a DVD/CD-Burner internal for my T21?

I was wondering as I have a DVD-ROM in my T21, if I can replace it with a DVD/CD-Burner, I already have an external, one, but it is a lot of bulk when traveling.

Many different types of combo drives (CD burner, DVD reader) are available for the T series. You can go with an original IBM model, or if you are the hacker type, a non-IBM model will usually work given some modifications.

The one thing to consider is what type of CD burning software do you have. If it's a recent vintage, then it should be able to handle older drives. On the flip side, if you are still using a program that's been around a long time then it may not support drives manufactured after the software was released.

edit: Here's one on eBay that's totally at random:

I lucked out and got both the DVD and CD/RW with mine.
I have the pouch to put the "extra" drive in for storage too.

It's much easier to tote around than an external.
