T23 Driver Downloads

I'm bringing up my "new" T23 2647-8RU and downloading drivers from the IBM/Lenovo site (a pox on both their houses). The MODEM I have, according to both the HMM and the label on the mini-pci card itself, is an Ambit, FRU 08K4853. The site has XP drivers for 5 MODEMS for the T23, one 3Com and four Lucent but no Ambit. WTF?

Lucent Winmodems use the Ambit chipset.

Looks like that narrows it down to the "Lucent AL modem" -- the others are a daughter card and a wireless card.

I'll give that one a try.

Are you able to connect to the internet with it, right now?

If so, use the Software Installerto install the correct drivers for you, instead of dealing with the driver matrix.

OK -- I didn't realize Software Installer would also download the drivers. I looked at "IBM Update Connector", now "ThinkVantage System Update", but neither of those support the T23. Thanks for the tip -- I'll try that first.
