After reconditioning battery have problems

#1 Post by richp » Wed Mar 14, 2007 6:43 am

I reconditioned the battery and have problems now, firefox and IE both crash, while watching a movie on the plane it bluescreened with media player, 2x but then ran fine after about 10 min. Could letting the battery die and the overnite recharge have damaged something ?
The only new software I installed was autopatcher, have not run it yet but did download the full and the updates and applied the updates to the full but like I said I have not run it yet. I wanted it mostly to burn to optical and update non connected systems.
I alway try to go that extra mile at work, problem is the boss always finds me and brings me back

Well, that had mixed results, ran with no errors BUT when I tried to access event viewer thru the PC doctor interface it blue screened on me. However on reboot it ran a chkdsk and found errors, we'll see. Hope a restore will fix whatever changed, being in qatar for the next few weeks kind of limits my choices....

Did you check already if the memory banks are seated properly in the sockets?

I guess I'll check that, though it has not gotten bumped around, has two 512 sticks in it that have been fine for the last two or three weeks. Guess I'll do that now.
