using 1.3mhz processor with T23

Hi,

I have T23 Pentium 1.0 mhz (type 2647-2RA), the cpu is defective, i search in ebay and found this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0093482507
IBM THINKPAD PIII 1.13MHZ T23/A30 PROCESSOR 26P8082

can i use this processor with my T23? thanks.

It should be fine, as long as it is a good processor. I have used 1Ghz .. 1.13Ghz and 1.2Ghz processors in one of my T23's. Make sure you use a good thermal paste between the processor and the heatsink - Artic Silver 5 is one that is often recomended on this site - there are application instructions on their website.

What makes you think the CPU is defective - are you certain it isn't another component?

You had me all hyped thinking you uncovered a rare 1.3GHz P3 for the T23...but it's a 1.13.

Actually, it's even more rare, because it's 1.3MHz!
